Itinerary


Day 01: Arrive Kuching
On arrival, meet your Tour Executive who will assist and transfer you to the hotel. The remainder of the day is for you to explore the old colonial city centre of Kuching or just be at your leisure. Stay two nights in Kuching.

Day 02: Kuching 
Rainforest Kayaking & Semenggoh Orang Utan Center
After an early breakfast proceed to the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre to view orphaned or rescued semi-wild orangutans in a natural setting. Later continue to Bengoh, the starting point of your kayak adventure. Float down a river that meanders through spectacular limestone hills clad with tropical rainforest and punctuated with Class 1 to Class 2 rapids providing a thrilling water ride. Visit a friendly Bidayuh Village, have a swim in the cool refreshing mountain water and enjoy a light picnic lunch on the sandy riverbank. Day 03: Kuching - Ulu Ai
Transfer to Ulu Ai by road and local longboat, this trip evokes a sense of exploration as you travel upcountry and upriver into Sarawak’s interior. There will be stops along the way at market towns and local bazaars. Lunch will be at a local restaurant en  route. Stay overnight in Nanga Sumpa Lodge and Camp. (B,L,D)

Day 04: Lubok Kasai
Jungle Camp 
Morning walks to look for orangutans and after breakfast head upriver to the Kasai Jungle Camp for an overnight stay. Enjoy lunch at the riverside before heading into the forest with the local guides to ‘forage for your dinner’. Wild ferns, ginger shoots, bamboo shoots, bamboo containers – all the items that will play a part in your evening meal. Afternoon trek to look for orangutan
and evening enjoy a sundowner “Tuak-tail” (local wine spritzers) in the middle of the Borneo Rainforest. (B,L,D)

Day 05: Ulu Ai – Kuching 
Enjoy the morning walk and after breakfast; pack up, load the boats, head downriver to the jetty and travel back to Kuching. The remaining afternoon is free and stay overnight in Kuching. (B,L)

Days 06: Kuching
Mulu National Park & Deer & Lang Caves
Transfer to Kuching airport to board a flight to Mulu National Park. On arrival transfer to your accommodation, afternoon enjoy a scenic 3 km plank walk through the primary rainforest to the entrance of the famous Deer Cave. Next visit to Lang’s Cave famous
for the stalactites and stalagmites followed by Bat Observatory known for a spectacular exodus of about 2 million bats leaving the cave in search of food. While waiting – a “Batman” gin & and tonic at the bat observatory. Stay two nights in Mulu National Park. (B,L,D)

Day 07: Mulu Adventure
Caving Day 
Today is a chance to visit one of Mulu’s adventure caves and explore the depths of this remarkable environment. Mulu is famous for big, voluminous caves and the adventure cave is no exception. Enjoy lunch at the resort and relax, an evening visit to a nearby
Penan village. (B,L,D)

Day 08: Mulu - Kota Kinabalu 
Clearwater & Wind Caves
Today proceed by longboat upriver to Wind Cave famous for its impressive ‘King’s Chamber’, stalactites and stalagmites. Then to Clearwater Cave, a habitat for unique species of plants. Enjoy a picnic lunch, swim or relax before transferring to the airport
to board a flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival meet and transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B,L)

Day 09: Kota Kinabalu - Abai
After an early breakfast transfer to board a flight to Sandakan and a boat ride on the Kinabatangan River to reach Jungle Lodge. After settling in, proceed by boat along the Kinabatangan, this River is Sabah’s longest river and arguably one of the best places to see wildlife. Stay two nights in Abai Jungle Lodge (B,L,D)

Day 10: Abai 
Excursion to Pitas Lake & Abai Village
Early morning take another boat trip for bird watching and wildlife viewing at the nearby Pitas Lake. After breakfast at the lodge visit the nearby Abai village and participate in a tree-planting project. Enjoy a local-style lunch prepared and served by the villagers. Rest and relax before another cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search of wildlife. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Abai – Kota Kinabalu 
From Abai return by boat to Sandakan. Explore colourful local markets and after lunch, visit the Borneo Sun Bear Conversation Centre and the Sepilok Orangutan Centre. Later board an evening flight to Kota Kinabalu and stay two nights in Kota Kinabalu. (B,L)

Day 12: Kota Kinabalu 
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the day is a free day to relax, swim at the resort or visit one of the nearby islands. Farewell Dinner starts with Cocktails at the Sunset Bar followed by a set dinner in the private cabanas overlooking South China. (B,L)

Day 13: Kota Kinabalu Departure 
After breakfast tour finishes with a direct transfer to the Kota Kinabalu airport. (B)
