3D Rotorua Off-road Winter Multisports Festival - Sponsored Entrant

As Part of Galaxy Travel - World Travellers involvement in this years 3D Rotorua Off-road Winter Multisports Festival we also sponsored Sarah Beadel entry into the race, we would like to congratulate Sarah on her 3rd placing with a great mountain bike ride.

Hi Jo and all the team at Galaxy Travel

Thank you very much for sponsoring my entry into the 3D race. I really enjoyed the challenge of this race and would not have done it without your encouragement. The paddle was a bit of a picnic out on the lake, there must be some technique that helps you go faster, but I do not have it!! The bike on the other hand was fantastic fun, and definitely my best leg, I think I did the 3rd fastest female time on the day on the bike. I then managed the run without getting cramp so enjoyed that as much as one does after biking…. Elina Ussher came past on her way to the finish at the very end of my first run lap, so I was very envious of her finishing then… But in the end I finished third in my age group, with the first woman in my age group 2nd women overall, and the 2nd women was 5th overall (something to aim for if I fix the paddle??). As I am not a really a multisporter, just a keen mountain biker and sometime xterra athlete I was very happy with my medal.

It was a fantastically well run event and you must be proud to be associated with it.
