Day 3 Tue 12 Oct 21 ADELAIDE — BAROSSA VALLEY (B,L)
After breakfast at your accommodation, touring to the Barossa region will commence. First stop is the township of Angaston, one of the first towns to be settled in the region. It happens to house the perfect local bakery from which you can grab a hot beverage and a delicious treat for morning tea (own expense). With the aroma of coffee and pastries filling the air, proceed to Mengler’s Hill, the perfect vantage point overlooking the wider district and colours of the vibrant Barossa Valley below. After taking in the panoramic sights, it is time to visit a number of iconic Barossa experiences, showcasing the longstanding heritage and architecture found within the region. Torbreck Vintners will be your first wine testing destination. No trip to the Barossa would be complete without a stop at Maggie’s Beer Farm, home of one of Australia's most celebrated Gourmet Food Ambassadors. Enjoy lunch at the farm eatery. The rest of the afternoon is filled with opportunities for additional wine tastings. Hotel: Novotel Barossa Valley Resort

Day 4 Wed 13 Oct 21 BAROSSA VALLEY — HAHNDORF — KANGAROO ISLAND (B,L)
Today your journey continues towards Kangaroo Island. Wind through the beautifully scenic Adelaide Hills to your first stop Mount Lofty lookout, for an incredible scenic view over the city of Adelaide. Afterwards you will visit the historic town of Hahndorf. Classified as Australia’s oldest German settlement, Hahndorf’s origins date back to 1839. Not only is Hahndorf rich with heritage and history, but the locals also have a real appreciation for creating exceptional quality produce. You will spend time wandering through the town, discovering the variety of boutique stores, museums and art galleries. Your journey continues towards Cape Jervis. From there you will board the Ferry for the 45-minute crossing to Kangaroo Island. On arrival you will enjoy Lunch at Emu Ridge Cafe followed by a tour of the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery, the only commercial eucalyptus oil distillery in South Australia. Afterwards you will visit Clifford’s Honey Farm. The Clifford family have specialised since 1973 in producing honey from Kangaroo Island’s Ligurian Bee. You will gain an insight into the production of honey and taste some products including their famous homemade honey ice-cream. Transfer to your accommodation by the water. Hotel: Aurora Ozone Hotel

Day 5 Thu 14 Oct 21 KANGAROO ISLAND (B,D)
After breakfast, you will travel to the western end of the island and discover the Flinders Chase National Park, one of the oldest and most important national parks in South Australia. It was devastated in the worst fires to ever hit the island in January 2020. You will see that the regeneration of the native bush occurs quickly after the event. As you travel through the park, keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies and koalas. You will also see the rugged coastline from walks around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. The Remarkable Rocks provide great photographic opportunities, and the Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful Long-nosed Fur Seals. You leave the National Park behind to continue your journey towards The Hanson Bay Sanctuary, which is the best place on Kangaroo Island to see a sustainable population of Koalas in the wild. Afterwards you will visit the Seal Bay Conservation Park.
No visit to Kangaroo Island would be complete without a guided walk with a National Park Ranger on the beach among the colony of rare and wild Australian sea lions. An utterly amazing and unforgettable experience. Enjoy dinner at the award-winning Reflections Restaurant, which offers the region’s finest meats, produce and herbs. Hotel: Aurora Ozone Hotel

Day 6 Fri 15 Oct 21 KANGAROO ISLAND — ADELAIDE (B,L)
This morning you will be heading back to Adelaide. After arriving back on the Mainland, your journey continues along the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills. Enjoy Lunch at the Victory Hotel, home of Rudderless Vineyard. The kitchen has a real focus on using local ingredients where possible and supporting the incredible producers operating within the Fleurieu Peninsula. You will stop at a selection of local wineries in the premium wine region of McLaren Vale, including a visit to d’Arenberg Winery. Experience the Cube, a uniquely designed building that provides 360° views of the surrounding region. Each of The Cube’s five levels have been designed to challenge and excite your senses, creating a truly tactile and interactive experience. Discover features such as; the wine sensory room, a virtual fermenter and the 360degree video room. After exploring the many levels of The Cube, time permitting, you may wish to sample additional experiences and tastings of the region’s championed varietals. Hotel: Stamford Plaza Adelaide
