Hole in the Rock Dolphin Cruise

product 4776

This is the most popular dolphin watching cruise in the Bay of Islands, and for good reason! Board your cruise in Paihia or Russell and take in the stunning views as we glide out through the islands and along the Rakaumangamanga Peninsula to Cape Brett, where a historic lighthouse keeps watch over Piercy Island/Motukokako, or as it is popularly known the ‘Hole in the Rock’. This four-hour cruise includes an island stopover, dolphin viewing and the Hole in the Rock. Keep a look out for common and bottlenose dolphins, whales and other marine life as we get you up close to the  action from the comfort of Dolphin Seeker, our purpose built dolphin and whale watching catamaran. Enjoy the views as you cruise past the Cape Brett Lighthouse, before arriving at the majestic Hole in the Rock (conditions permitting) – hold your breath as the skipper navigates through the narrow space and admire the rock walls which soar over you. Take in the Grand Cathedral Cave before heading back into the sheltered waters of the Bay.

Inclusion: Cruise the Bay of Islands, ferry ticket to Russell or Paihia

Captain James Cook extensively chartered both the North and South Islands, and gave the Bay of Islands its name. Renowned for its scenic beauty, subtropical climate, fishing, and boating, the Bay of Islands is one of the nation’s most popular holiday locations. The region’s capital of Paihia is an ideal place to swim with wild dolphins, or take a leisurely cruise for an abundance of wildlife spotting.
