Day 1: Queenstown Airport – Clyde
The rental company will pick you up at the airport. and sign the rental contract.
From Queenstown Airport follow SH6 to Cromwell and then continue on SH8 to Clyde. Duration 1hour
NASEBY, known for its international curling (sport on ice where granite stones must be placed as close as possible to the target) which we recommend you to try even if you have never done it, ask us to book in advance to secure your seats.
WEDDERBURN, take a break at the tavern built in 1885.
ST BATHANS, a micro-village with incredible cachet. The Vulcan hotel bar is to be photographed from the inside and the inside. Then cross the road to get to the Blue Lake of rare beauty.
OPHIR, a charming and peaceful village, you will see many historic buildings there. Stop in front of the Post Office (1886) or go to the stone suspension bridge at the entrance to the city.
BANNOCKBURN, in the direction of Cromwell, this is the cradle of the best New Zealand Pinot Noir that awaits you. Among some favourite wineries Bald Hills and Mt Difficulty.

Day 2: Clyde – Cromwell – Clyde (B,L)
Included: Lake Dunstan Cycling Trail from Queenstown: This 1-day cycle tour has you cycling the new Lake Dunstan Trail which flaunts the best of Central Otago’s beauty and begins from Cromwell Smiths Way following the shores of Lake Dunstan. The trail is vehicle-free and has a moderate gradient (grade 2-3).
Your adventure starts a with transfer from Clyde to the Cromwell depot based at Highlands Motorsport Park. Here we will go through your day’s itinerary and bike fitting. From here you will be transferred to the start point at Smiths Way for your adventure to down to Clyde. The trail follows Lake Dunstan from Smiths Way Pisa Moorings to Bannockburn then through the Dunstan Gorge to Clyde. Picnic lunch included.

Day 3: Clyde – Te Anau – Milford Sound (B,D)
From Clyde, take SH8 North until you arrive at Cromwell and then continue on SH6 to Queenstown. At Queenstown Junction turn left and Continue on SH6 to Lumsden where you turn right towards Te Anau on SH94. Duration 3hr

Departing Milford Sound, the walk begins with a short boat ride to Sandfly Point. An easy 5.5 km walk (11 km return) alongside the cascading Arthur River, then Lake Ada, on a well maintained track takes you to your destination, Giant Gate. This scenic waterfall is best viewed from the large swing bridge. At this point we return, walking under ancient temperate rainforest surrounded by an array of ferns, mosses and lichens in vibrant shades of green.
What to Bring: Comfortable walking boots/shoes, waterproof jacket, warm clothing including hat and gloves, sun hat, hiking snacks, water bottle, day pack and insect repellent. Walking poles are optional.

Day 5: Milford Sound – Queenstown City (B)
Watch the sunrise over a continental breakfast, which is served between 7am-8am, before returning to the cruise terminal at 9.00am. Head back to Te Anau via the scenic Milford Road and continue to Lumsden on SH94 and then take SH6 to Queenstown.
