Day 1 Christchurch City – Blenheim
Day 2 Blenheim – Molesworth Road – Hanmer Springs (B)
Explore the Awatere Valley and into the surrounding ranges. The longest 4WD road in NZ – over 180km long, and incredibly scenic.
Day 3 Hanmer Springs – Mt Somers – Mt Sunday – Staveley (B, D)
Travel the Inland Scenic highway, cross the Plains to Lake Clearwater enroute to Mount Sunday (Edoras in Lord of the Rings).
Day 4 Staveley – Mt Cook Village – Lake Tekapo (B)
Try Mt Cook Alpine Salmon at Lake Pukaki. Choose from a range of walks and hikes at Mt Cook.
Day 5 Lake Tekapo – Kurow – Danseys Pass/Naseby (B)
The spectacular Hakataramea Valley 4WD track and Danseys Pass are a photographer’s delight.
Day 6 Naseby – Maniototo – Cromwell – Wanaka (B)
Detour to Bendigo – a once prosperous gold rush town, stroll among the ruins of the past.
