Australian Outback Spectacular

01 November 2010

Staff

Located between Warner Bros. Movie World and Wet’n’Wild Water World, this is another great little add on to any Gold Coast holiday.

Pre-show

On arrival we were each given a straw hat with either a yellow or red coloured band around it which turned out to be representative of the two “towns” that were competing against each other on the night. We then could wander around the reception area which was decked out in typical Aussie Outback style for pre-show drinks, have a look at the horses in their indoor stables, perhaps have a picture taken with one of the dogs who perform in the show and see some live acts and musicians. They also offer professional group pictures for a fee.

Heroes of the Light Horse

A few minutes before show time we were shown to our seats in the huge sandy floored arena. The seating and tables are arranged around it like a stadium, and are fixed so there aren’t any problems with not being able to see the show once you are seated for dinner. We enjoyed a hearty 3 course meal, and drinks were also served (and included in the ticket price) throughout the show.

The show, 'Heroes of the Light Horse' was fantastic! It had it all, a talented cast and crew, horses, cattle, dogs and more... even a helicopter! The audience was also encouraged to be a part of the show with lots of cheering and clapping for each “towns” team and an eventual winning town at the end of the night. The show itself is about 1.5 hours so was not a late night out and so good for families with smaller kids. They also offer a couple of meal options including a kiddies meal and vegetarian option.

Add this to your Gold Coast holiday and be sure of a great night out! Just ask us for the latest prices.
