Club Med Phuket

22 August 2012

This was my first experience of Club Med and it didn’t disappoint.

'Club Med' holidays are all about doing as much or as little as you want to do. Being all inclusive, there is nothing better than being able to go to the bar and get a cocktail or two anytime throughout the day. Located close to Kata on Phuket's southwest coast, this refined Thai-style village offers all the opportunities for a great holiday.

The Resort is great for families, but being just myself and partner the Resort hides its newest treasure - the Zen area. Here you'll find the "quiet" adults-only infinity pool, with its own bar and views over the bay. The perfect place to relax the hours away with a cold drink and a good book.

The service in the restaurants was superb, and all the waiters and managers were very professional. The speciality restaurant is a la carte. There are 2 choices across each of 4 courses, not a lot, but the quality of each is outstanding. Their menu also varies a few times each week.

A day trip to Phi Phi Islands at boat is a must do, simply stunning! The lovely Maya Bay (the place of the movie The Beach, with Leonardo di Caprio)

We hired a scooter one day and took the 10min ride up to Patong and area’s around Island exploring the sights and temples.

I would recommend Club Med to anybody who wants to spend an active or relaxed holiday with free bar, excellent food, and plenty of activities all complimentary.
