On the 14th of September I winged my way off to a new adventure in China.
My travels took me from Hainan Island in Southern China to Beijing and Xian in the North with stops in Guangzhou and Shanghai. I saw beautiful beaches, small villages, large modern cities, historical sites and of course the Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors. I had some fabulous Chinese meals, completely different to the "Western" Chinese food we get here. I also met some wonderful friendly people who loved to talk about and show me their country.
I flew on China Southern Airlines and after 7 flights was impressed with the service and modern aircraft. I received a meal and refreshments on every flight and the seats in economy class were similar to all the other major players. The airports were extremely modern and easy to navigate with English signs everywhere and all announcements were also made in English.
