Next day, the 90 travel agents participated in a ‘Snakes & Ladders’ type race! Racing all around Hong Kong getting clues & seeing new things along the way, it was interesting and fun! From getting the ferry to Hong Kong Island, finding Hong Kong Park, exploring the waterfront promenade and the Avenue of Stars in Kowloon, it was a great morning!

After the race, we had some free time to go exploring so a few of us ventured to the Ladies market. Not just for ladies either! Similar to Stanley Market in what they were selling- many stalls adorned with handbags, hair accessories, clothing... Got a few bargains here. Used the local taxis to get to/from here – very reasonably priced and safe.

That evening we boarded a ferry to Lamma Island (located just below Hong Kong Island if you are looking at a map!) & about 45 mins later we were at Rainbow Seafood Restaurant. This is a traditional fishing village restaurant and kind of got you back to the basics but enjoyed yummy food. I just love the stunning skyline – as we were on Hong Kong Island we could see the Kowloon Peninsula skyline but also visible from Kowloon overlooking Hong Kong Island.

Day 3 the agents went in 4 different directions to experience the local attractions. Those were: Hong Kong Disneyland, Big Bus Tours (Hop on Hop off), Ngong Ping 360o & Ocean Park. I was fortunate enough to head to Ocean Park, a large theme park with rides and animals set up on a hill! We did one side of the park (seeing the panda was my highlight!), took the train over to the other side (it’s that big!), did a few more rides including water ones where you get soaked! (perfect on a hot day!). then enjoyed a long scenic gondola ride back to the other side where this gave us the most amazing views!

Our last day was at leisure to soak up the most of what this city has to offer before flying home that night with Air NZ.

What a great time in this amazing city!
