Day 1 - Cape Town
The adventure begins! Drop your bags off at the hotel and meet your Trip Manager and the rest of the group in the lobby. Walk to the food market next door for your choice of dinner along with some drinks to get to know each other.

Day 2 - Cape Town
Start at the very top with a cable car ride up Table Mountain, followed by a city tour of Cape Town so you can navigate your way around this coastal city. The rest of the day is at your leisure, either for exploring the city yourself on foot or relaxing on one of Cape Town's beautiful beaches, before finding yourself some dinner at one of the local hotspots ($$).

Day 3 - Cape Town
This is your day to take advantage of the abundance of local excursions available in Cape Town.
A favourite is a scenic drive along the cliffs of Chapman's Peak down to the tip of Africa, to see where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet at Cape Point. This is followed by a stop at Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins ($$). For the perfect afternoon activity, you can't go wrong with a classic wine tasting tour of the Cape Winelands, sampling some of Africa's best ($$).

Day 4 - Cape Town to Kruger National Park
Fly to Johannesburg, the city of gold, where you'll jump in your vehicle bound for Kruger National Park.
You'll travel along the famed Panorama Route alongside incredible gorges and scenery as you head to your lodge for the night.
Site of the epic YouTube viral video Battle at Kruger, the Park is a sprawling wilderness of bush and terrain that houses the famous Big Five
(lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and Cape Buffalo) along with hundreds of species of native birds, ancient trees and meandering rivers. Yours to explore for the next two days!

Day 5 - Kruger National Park
Rise early for your first taste of the fresh morning air that tells you you're deep in the African bush. Venture through to the Park gate and enter at sunrise, just the right time to see some of Africa's nocturnal hunts. Eat your packed breakfast at one of the picnic spots and discover who has the 'Lick of the Bush' and the best spotting eyes. Lunch will be at one of the main camps in the park and you'll relax there in the midday heat. In the afternoon you'll depart for yet another game drive, as the temperatures start cooling and the wildlife become more active, and you'll make your back to the park exit for sunset.

Day 6 - Kruger National Park
The game of hide and seek continues as you traverse from the central to the southern part of the Park, keeping eyes open for any wildlife that evaded you the day before. A packed breakfast and a hot lunch at a picnic site will keep your stomach settled as you keep your eyes peeled for any movement of giraffe, hyena, antelope and rhinoceros lurking deep in the bush. Depart the Park in the afternoon.

Day 7 - Kruger National Park to Victoria Falls
Travel back to Johannesburg to catch your flight to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
After lunch onboard your flight you'll check into your accommodation and drop off your bags. Then you're off for a hike along the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders and the largest waterfall in the world! You might want to pack your raincoat, as during certain times of the year you can drenched from the rising spray, giving the falls its local name: 'The smoke that thunders'. The evening will be for the more adventurous, with opportunities for bungee jumping, swinging or ziplining over the mighty Ziambezi river, right next to the magnificent falls ($$).

Day 8 - Victoria Falls
Today is all about adventure. You can sign up for rafting down the Zambezi, one of the world's best white water rapids ($$). Take a scenic helicopter flight over the spectacular falls and neighbouring wildlife reserve, seeing some of Africa's famous animals from above for a truly unforgettable experience ($$). Or for the less adventurous, try your hand at Africa's own kind of escape room - the Tribal Trap ($$). The rest of the day is yours to relax, or head out to join a loca Boma buffet dinner, complete with traditional dancers and drumming for something a bit different ($$).

Day 9 - Victoria Falls to Chobe
Leave the spray of the falls behind as you travel across the border to the prolific wildlife rich haven that is Botswana.
Enjoy lunch and leisure time at your lodge before taking your overnight bag into open Safari vehicles complete with your own personal guides, and drive to the famous Chobe National Park. Known for having the largest density of elephants, driving along the Chobe River front is a non-stop action adventure with wildlife coming and going, quenching their thirst in the hot African sun. Then to top this off, this is the night where you get to truly experience the wilderness of the African bush. Contiki have set up a private camp exclusively for the group, complete with guides, cooks and a bonfire set under the African stars! After a deliciously prepared meal, lying in your tent that night you will fall asleep to the sounds of Africa: a jackal calling in the distance, the loud whoop of hyena and perhaps the roar of lions seeking each other out after their daytime slumber.

Day 10 - Chobe
This morning you'll wake up to watch the sunrise over the African bush with a light breakfast, before departing on a morning game drive to hopefully see some of the wildlife you may not have heard the night before. Arrive late morning to check into your new lodge and spend the rest of the day relaxing around the pool and swapping stories from the night before. Your last evening with the group will end off with a sunset cruise on the Chobe river. Surrounded by pods of hippos, with crocs basking on the banks and all forms of African animals coming down to drink, this is truly one African sunset you'll never forget!

Day 11 - Chobe to Victoria Falls
It's time for your last breakfast together with the group before you're dropped off at Kasane Airport or make the journey back to Victoria Falls. Time to say goodbye to your newfound friends and swap numbers so you ca stay in touch until the next amazing adventure.
