Itinerary

Day 1: Kasane to Chobe National Park

Upon your arrival, you will be transferred by light aircraft or vehicle to your chosen accommodation in Chobe National Park, the second-largest national park in Botswana, situated in the northern part of the country near the expansive Okavango Delta. This area boasts the highest concentration of elephants in Africa and is ideal for remarkable game viewing experiences.

Chobe Game Lodge: As the only permanent game lodge located on the banks of the Chobe River within the renowned Chobe National Park, Chobe Game Lodge stands out as Botswana's premier destination. It serves as an excellent base for guests seeking to explore the National Park and the Chobe River. This five-star Lodge holds a full eco-grading from the Botswana Tourism Board.

Savute Safari Lodge: Positioned on the edge of the famed Savute Channel, Savute Safari Lodge offers luxury accommodations with twelve rooms. The Savute region, and specifically the Savute Marsh, is celebrated for its intense predator encounters and exceptional game viewing, making it one of Botswana's most sought-after wildlife destinations.

Day 2: Chobe National Park

Prepare for another day of thrilling game drives. Depending on your chosen accommodation, you may also indulge in a delightful river cruise and a visit to a local village.

Chobe Game Lodge Activities: This sanctuary of tranquility and privacy offers effortless relaxation. Lounge by the expansive swimming pool, where a dedicated waiter is always ready to bring you refreshing drinks from the bar. Take advantage of early-morning or late-afternoon game drives led by expert guides. A highly popular activity is riverside game viewing, conducted on the lodge's solar-electric powered safari boats, ensuring silent safaris along Botswana’s renowned Chobe River. In the dry season, frequent sightings include lion, African wild dog, puku, red lechwe, sable, giraffe, and roan antelope.

Savute Safari Lodge Activities: Savute boasts the second-largest summer Zebra migration in Africa. Activities revolve around game drives across the Savute area in open 4×4 safari vehicles. Many excursions include a visit to the Savute Marsh, providing an opportunity to witness the historic presence of the Savute Channel amid abundant wildlife. Guests can also explore the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills, a small hilly outcrop that stands out in the otherwise flat landscape.

Day 3: Chobe National Park to Okavango Delta

Today, you will embark on a light aircraft flight into the breathtaking Okavango Delta, where you will spend two nights at the accommodation of your choice.

Camp Okavango: Nestled within Botswana’s splendid Okavango Delta, a World Heritage site, this delta stands as the world’s largest inland delta—a labyrinth of deep lagoons, expansive lakes, and concealed, winding channels. Camp Okavango, an exceptional and exclusive African safari camp, is situated on the secluded Nxaragha Island.

Xugana Island Lodge: Positioned on a private concession, Xugana Island Lodge fully capitalizes on its magnificent location. An extensive deck and open-air dining area offer panoramic views of the vast, unspoiled expanse of water that forms the permanent Okavango Delta.

Day 4: Okavango Delta

Delight in game drives and various safari activities as the Okavango Delta unfolds before you, providing an unparalleled game viewing experience. Encounter hippos, elephants, and crocodiles in the waterways, while on dry land, you may witness the majesty of lions, leopards, giraffes, and rhinos. The Okavango Delta promises a pristine and diverse safari adventure.

Day 5: Okavango Delta to Moremi Game Reserve

Embark on a light aircraft transfer to your chosen accommodation.

Camp Moremi: This establishment holds a distinguished reputation in Botswana's tourism industry for delivering the quintessential African safari experience. Completely reconstructed in 2018 as a modern luxury safari lodge, Camp Moremi is nestled within the renowned Moremi Game Reserve.

Camp Xakanaxa: Situated on the banks of the Khwai River at the Xakanaxa Lagoon, in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, Camp Xakanaxa (pronounced Ka-ka-na-ka) boasts a prime location. It stands as one of the rare safari camps that provides guests with an authentic, year-round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience.

Day 6 & 7: Moremi Game Reserve

Indulge in exhilarating game drives and a variety of safari activities in the Moremi Game Reserve, located in northern Botswana within the Okavango Delta. This region transforms into a lush animal habitat during seasonal floods. Explore the intricate waterways, including the Xakanaxa Lagoon, using dugout canoes to navigate past abundant birdlife, hippos, and crocodiles. The Moremi Game Reserve promises a rich and immersive safari experience amid its diverse and flourishing ecosystem.
