Itinerary


Day 01: Arrive Kuching
On arrival, meet your Tour Executive who will assist and transfer you to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Stay three nights in Kuching.

Day 02: Kuching & Sunset Cruise 
After breakfast meet your local tour guide and explore the main highlights of Kuching. Cruise on by the many attractions, which include the gigantic cat statue the mascot of Kuching City. Proceed to Tua Pek Kong Temple, one of the oldest temples in Sarawak. En
route visit traditional Malay houses and on our way back stop by Kubah Ria an open market famous for its vegetables, fruits, and local produce. At approx. 1700 hrs take a short walk to the nearby Kuching Waterfront promenade, to board MV Equatorial enjoying Sunset River cruise on the Sarawak River (B)

Day 03: Kuching 
Rainforest Kayaking & Semenggoh Orangutan Center
After breakfast proceed to the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre to view orphaned or rescued semi-wild orangutans in a natural setting. Later continue to Bengoh, the starting point of your kayak adventure. Visit a friendly Bidayuh Village, have a swim in the cool refreshing mountain water, and enjoy a light picnic lunch on the sandy riverbank. (B,L)

Day 04: Kuching – Bako National Park 
After breakfast enjoy a short drive to Bako village and proceed by boat to the park headquarters and explore wildlife around the area. Enjoy lunch at the canteen and then continue to National Park. This Park is one of the best places in Sarawak to see wildlife in a natural setting and is home to Borneo endemic proboscis monkeys, silvered langurs, long-tailed macaques, wild boar, monitor lizards and numerous species of birds. After dinner at the park restaurant, proceed on a night walk by torchlight and stay overnight at the park accommodation. (B,L,D)

Day 05: Bako N P – Kuching 
Today, hike one of the trails to spot rare migratory birds, reptiles, and langurs and search for the endemic and often elusive proboscis monkey, a primate only found in Borneo. After lunch at the park return to Kuching. The remaining day is free to relax and stay two nights in Kuching. (B,L)

Day 06: Cooking Class
After a leisurely breakfast, assemble at your cooking class venue to learn genuine Sarawak-style cooking. Your cooking instructor will in advance have to arrange a wide variety of fresh and locally produced raw food items that you will be taught to turn into a
delicious meal that eventually will be your lunch. Afternoon free to relax or go shopping. (B,L)

Day 07: Kuching
Nanga Sumpa 
Drive to Batang Ai Reservoir. Along the way stop for lunch and stroll around the shops at Lachau Bazaar. Board a local longboat and travel upriver to the Iban village. Evening visit the Nanga Sumpa longhouse & relax on the ruai (common verandah). Interact with the community; learn about their culture and enjoy some local rice wine. Stay two nights at Nanga Sumpa Lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 08: Mulu - Kota Kinabalu 
Clearwater & Wind Caves
Today proceed by longboat upriver to Wind Cave famous for its impressive ‘King’s Chamber’, stalactites and stalagmites. Then to Clearwater Cave, a habitat for unique species of plants. Enjoy a picnic lunch, swim or relax before transferring to the airport to board a flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival meet and transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B, L)

Day 09: Kota Kinabalu –
Abai 
After an early breakfast transfer to board a flight to Sandakan and a boat ride on the Kinabatangan River to reach Jungle Lodge. After settling in, proceed by boat along the Kinabatangan, this River is Sabah’s longest river and arguably one of the best places to see wildlife. Stay two nights in Abai Jungle Lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 10: Abai 
Excursion to Pitas Lake & Abai Village
Early morning take another boat trip for bird watching and wildlife viewing at the nearby Pitas Lake. After breakfast at the lodge visit the nearby Abai village and participate in a tree-planting project. Enjoy a local-style lunch prepared and served by the
villagers. Rest and relax before another cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search of wildlife. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Abai – Kota Kinabalu 
From Abai return by boat to Sandakan. Explore colourful local markets and after lunch, visit the Borneo Sun Bear Conversation Centre and the Sepilok Orangutan Centre. Later board an evening flight to Kota Kinabalu and stay two nights in Kota Kinabalu. (B,L)

Day 12: Kota Kinabalu
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the day is a free day to relax, swim at the resort or visit one of the nearby islands. Farewell Dinner starts with Cocktails at the Sunset Bar followed by a set dinner in the private cabanas overlooking South China. (B,L)

Day 13: Kota Kinabalu Departure 
After breakfast tour finishes with a direct transfer to the Kota Kinabalu airport. (B)
