Set sail from Barcelona on a Mediterranean voyage through the South of France, Italy, Greece, and Turkey, taking in some of the region's most captivating coastal cities and ancient sites. The journey begins in Marseille, gateway to the sun-drenched charm of Provence, before continuing along the Italian Riviera to the colourful harbour town of Santa Margherita. From there, the ship calls at Civitavecchia, the gateway to Rome, followed by Naples, where travellers can venture out to the ruins of Pompeii or the clifftop beauty of Capri, and Palermo in Sicily, rich with Mediterranean and North African influences.

After a relaxing day at sea, the voyage heads into the Greek islands and Turkish coast, calling at Heraklion in Crete, Kusadasi (gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus), and the iconic whitewashed cliffs of Mykonos, before arriving in Athens via the port of Piraeus. Along the way, guests can explore world-famous ruins, wander cobblestone old towns, sample fresh Mediterranean cuisine, and soak in the dramatic coastal scenery that defines this stretch of the sea — making this itinerary a rich blend of history, culture, and island charm from start to finish.

Highlights

Pompeii ruins resized
  • The ruins of Pompeii, near Naples, offer an extraordinary glimpse into daily life in an ancient Roman city frozen in time by the eruption of Vesuvius.
  • The ancient city of Ephesus, reached via Kusadasi, showcases some of the best-preserved Greco-Roman ruins in the world, including the iconic Library of Celsus.
  • The whitewashed cliffs of Mykonos create one of the most picturesque and photographed views in the Mediterranean, framed by the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea.

Your Ship - Sun Princess

Step into a world of excitement and warmth aboard Sun Princess! This is where the latest addition to the Princess Cruises fleet reveals what makes her a standout choice for your next voyage, from her striking design to her vibrant onboard atmosphere.

At the heart of the ship sits The Dome, a Deck 17 solarium by day that transforms into a lively entertainment venue by night, complete with a glass-enclosed pool and immersive water shows. Guests can also step into Spellbound, a magical dinner experience hidden behind an unmarked door, blending sleight-of-hand illusion with theatrical cocktails. With over 29 dining and bar venues, the culinary lineup spans everything from Sabatini's Italian Trattoria and the seafood-focused Catch by Rudi to a lively Irish pub, so there's something to satisfy every craving.

Beyond dining, Sun Princess offers five pools, nine hot tubs, and a two-storey Lotus Spa for ultimate relaxation, along with a SkyDeck sports court and running track for the more active traveller. Staterooms have been completely redesigned with more living space and larger balconies, while suite guests enjoy access to the exclusive Sanctuary Collection and the ship's largest-ever accommodation category, the Sky Suite. Add in dedicated spaces for kids and teens, Broadway-style entertainment, and panoramic ocean-view lounges, and it's easy to see why Sun Princess has quickly become one of the most talked-about ships at sea.
