Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Budapest (Embark)

Arrive at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport. If you have arranged a Uniworld arrival transfer, you will be greeted by a Uniworld representative and transferred to the ship.

Day 2: Budapest

Located on opposite sides of the Danube, Buda and Pest each has a distinctive character and allure all its own. Explore this dynamic and multi-faceted city with a panoramic tour, or choose our Jewish Heritage excursion offering you a detailed introduction to Jewish Budapest. In the evening, a special Captain’s Welcome Reception and Dinner will be prepared for you.

While you are out experiencing the best of Budapest today, your ship will make its way to Esztergom, where you will reboard at the conclusion of your tour. For those who opt out of the included tours, please note that you will need to make your own arrangements to meet the ship in Esztergom by 1:00pm at the latest.

Day 3: Bratislava, Vienna

Once hidden from the world behind the “Iron Curtain,” Slovakia retains an air of mystery and intrigue, and its small capital city has an unexpectedly colorful history. The heart and soul of Slovakia, Bratislava is full of surprises. The city straddles the mighty Danube and has played a leading role in the politics and culture of the region for many centuries.

Day 4: Vienna

The grand dame of the Danube, Vienna was the heart of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and remains, to this day, the political and cultural center of Austria. Klimt painted here; Beethoven and Mozart composed here; Freud developed his theories here. It’s a treasure trove of splendid architecture, astonishing art collections and inviting cafés—and today it is yours to explore.

Day 5: Vienna, Melk

A designated World Heritage Site for its beauty and history, the Wachau retains its authentic cultural landscape while still being a popular destination for travelers. The towns and villages are small here but bursting with charm. The jewel in the crown: Melk and its cheery yellow abbey, a Baroque masterpiece that stands proudly atop a hill overlooking the river.

Day 6: Engelhartszell, Passau

Your ship cruises through a scenic highlight of the Danube early this morning, the Schlögener Schlinge—a hairpin loop in the Danube that was once very hazardous for ships and is now a lovely, serene stretch of water—and leaves Austria behind today. Your first German port of call is Passau, where three rivers meet—the Inn, the Ilz and the Danube—and three nations almost meet: Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic, making for a fascinating cultural mosaic.

Day 7: Regensburg

Bavaria’s first capital, Regensburg, owes its impressive historical lineage and rich architectural heritage to 600 years as a Free Imperial City, a fact recognized by UNESCO in 2006. Today, you’ll discover how the beautifully preserved medieval city coexists with a vibrant modern urban center. A special Captain’s Farewell Reception and Dinner will be prepared for you this evening.

Day 8: Regensburg (Disembark), Transfer to Prague

Disembark the ship early and set your sights on the “city of a hundred spires” as you transfer to Prague via motorcoach.

Day 9: Prague

A magnet for generations of artists, writers, scientists and composers, Prague is famous for its dynamic energy and elegant ambiance (and the beers here are pretty amazing too). A thousand years of architecture, from ornate Gothic to fanciful postmodern, has been beautifully preserved here.

Day 10: Depart Prague

You’ve experienced the best of the Danube River and Prague, sampling myriad culinary delights and exploring fascinating stops along the way. Now your journey comes to a close. If you have arranged a Uniworld departure transfer, you will be transferred to Prague Václav Havel Airport for your flight home. Your Uniworld adventure may be over, but we know you’ll enjoy the memories you’ve made for years to come.

Your Ship: S.S. Beatrice

Designed with elegant yacht-style detailing, this beautifully appointed ship features light wood finishes accented by blue and white tones throughout, creating a fresh and sophisticated onboard atmosphere. The grand lobby sets the tone with polished marble floors, mirrored accents, a striking white Murano chandelier with blue detailing, and a sweeping staircase crafted from nickel and black iron—an iconic design signature of Uniworld’s Super Ship™ fleet.

Inside, the refined lounge offers a welcoming space to relax, complete with hand-upholstered sofas and chairs, parquet flooring, fabric ceiling panels, solar shading and convenient USB charging points throughout. Curated artwork from masters such as Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder and Pino Signoretto adds a distinctive cultural touch to the ship’s interiors.

Dining is inspired by Austria’s great composers, with a selection of distinctive venues offering both elegance and creativity. Enjoy the main restaurant, themed around Mozart, alongside Wolfgang’s bar and lounge, or explore new additions including Schubert’s and Max’s. At Max’s, guests can take part in hands-on cooking classes led by expert chefs, while Schubert’s intimate bow-facing café serves beautifully crafted shared plates from lunch through dinner, showcasing flavours inspired by the ship’s journey through Europe.

Your Ship: S.S. Marlene

Sailing the waterways of Central Europe, this elegant ship pays tribute to German-born actress and singer Marlene Dietrich, capturing her iconic style and timeless sophistication. Launching in 2027, it draws inspiration from her glamorous Hollywood career and later life as a celebrated cabaret performer, with design details that reflect her distinctive presence and enduring legacy.

For added comfort and flexibility, guests have the option of combining a Grand Suite with the adjoining Deluxe French Balcony stateroom to create an expansive two-bedroom suite—perfect for families or those seeking extra space and luxury while cruising through Europe’s most scenic rivers.
