Day by day Itinerary

Day 1: Board The Great Southern in Adelaide 
Board the Great Southern for your memorable two-night journey to Brisbane. Enjoy morning tea and savour a relaxed lunch on board while watching the ever-changing landscape through the windows. In the afternoon, the train will arrive in regional Victoria for your first Off Train Experience. A million years in the making, the Grampians region is celebrated for its wild and spectacular scenery. Explore The Grampians with a choice of four Off Train Experiences. Enjoy a guided coach tour through the scenic
town of Halls Gap, including the incredible Boroka Lookout, or embrace Mother Nature and stretch your legs with a guided walk to the Venus Baths. Alternatively, spend the afternoon tasting regional wines at Pomonal Estate with a cellar door experience paired with artisanal chocolates, or Fallen Giants, where you’ll taste and learn about the winery’s 50-year history. You may choose to upgrade your Grampians’ experience with a helicopter flight that soars across the National Park. Return to the train and continue travelling up the east coast, with a delectable dinner on board. Overnight: 2 nights Great Southern

Day 2: Canberra
After breakfast on board, today is yours to explore Australia’s political capital, Canberra. After breakfast on board, enjoy a coach ride to Canberra city centre to experience a memorable lunch at Old Parliament House before an afternoon of insightful guided tours at your pick of iconic institutions, whether it’s the National War Memorial, Parliament House or the National Portrait Gallery.
As afternoon turns to evening, return to the train in time for another gourmet dinner on board. After dinner, retire to the lounge for a nightcap with your fellow travellers as the Great Southern rolls north (B,L,D)

Day 3: Coffs Harbour & Brisbane 
Linger over breakfast on board before departing on your choice of Off Train Experience around Coffs Harbour. The Coffs Explorer travels up to Sealy Lookout, offering views for miles from the Forest Sky Pier, before heading to the spectacular North Coast Regional Botanical Garden. Alternatively, take a stroll from the Urunga Boardwalk to the Beach with a n Indigenous guide, who will help you spot native wildlife and teach about the history of the Gumbaynggirr people, with a demonstration of traditional
tools and weaponry and the opportunity to see and taste bush tucker. If you’d prefer to take to the skies, treat yourself to an optional upgrade with a hinterland helicopter flight that soars over the Great Diving Range and Coffs Harbour coastline.
After your Coffs Harbour morning, indulge in a final lunch on board before arriving into Brisbane, completing your coastal train journey. Once settled into your accommodation, the evening is yours to explore the vibrant river city (B,L)

Day 4: Board Diamond Princess® in Brisbane
Today, your coastal cruising begins. Anticipate the excitement of discovery on this jewel of the sea as you board the Diamond Princess®. Enjoy tantalising cuisine, dazzling live entertainment, and enriching experiences. Put your feet up at Movies Under the Stars TM, or for a unique treat visit the Izumi Japanese Bath, the largest of its kind at sea. Whatever you decide to do, your time onboard Diamond Princess® will be unforgettable. (B,D)

Day 5: At Sea
Familiarise yourself with the layout of the ship today. A variety of everyday dining venues are available including Horizon Court, Prego Pizzeria, and Trident Grill. Choose from specialty restaurants~ Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria, Sterling Steakhouse, KaiSushi and the Chef’s Table Experience. Each day, a world of exciting activities~ awaits, from cooking demonstrations to dance classes, trivia contests and a range of enrichment programs. Day 6: Airlie Beach (Water Shuttle Required, Wheelchair Access Limited)
Airlie Beach is your gateway to the Whitsunday Archipelago. These 74 islands feature pristine fringing reefs, calm, lagoon-like waters, and superb beaches. The archipelago is one of Australia's premier playgrounds. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Cairns
With the Daintree National Park and Great Barrier Reef on its doorstep, Cairns is a magnet for visitors. This popular destination for adventurers from the world over has an idyllic climate, beautiful tree-lined esplanades to stroll, and a huge number of day-trip activities to choose from. (B,L,D) 

Day 8: Port Douglas (Water Shuttle Required, Wheelchair Access Limited)
Located between the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and the Great Barrier Reef, Port Douglas provides a perfect
gateway to hardy adventurers enroute to rainforest and reef. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Willis Island (Scenic Cruising)
Willis Island is one of several tropical islands sitting beyond the Great Barrier Reef in the Coral Sea Islands Territory. It is the only permanently inhabited island in the Coral Sea Islands Territory and is surrounded by thriving reefs where many creatures make their homes. Numbering into the thousands, Willis Island caters to many species of seabirds, including Masked, Brown and Red-footed Boobies that cry out nearly 24 hours a day. It is also an important nesting ground for turtles. (B,L,D)

Day 10: At Sea
Visit the shops of Princess for the last chance to pick up some keepsakes and souvenirs. as you make the most of
the facilities on your last day on board. Perhaps see a musical production, dabble in the casino~, try your hand at bingo~ or simply relax in a lounge sipping one last cocktail~ as you enjoy your last night on board. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Brisbane
Your coastal exploration concludes in Brisbane this morning, as you farewell Diamond Princess and travel onwards with a new collection of memorable moments. (B)
