Ian Kirkpatrick was a legendary All Blacks flanker, widely regarded as one of the greatest ever. Playing from 1967–1977, he was known for his incredible athleticism and try-scoring ability. He captained the team and notably played against the Springboks, including during the 1970 and 1976 tours to South Africa. Kirkpatrick was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2014.
