Itinerary

Cruise the scenic waters of the Hawkesbury River out to the saltwater paddocks. Take in the beauty of the Hawkesbury River and discover why this environment is ideal for growing oysters of all varieties and, in turn, how oysters give back to people and place.

Returning to the land-based Shellar Door, discover the individual characteristics of the local Sydney Rock Oyster, the creamy Pacific Oyster and our very own seafood treasure, the Akoya pearl oyster in a guided tasting. Your guide demonstrates the technique of shucking around the harvest table so you can enjoy oysters fresh from the shell at home.
