Aurora Expedition's two purpose-built small-expedition ships, the Greg Mortimer and the Sylvia Earle, are both brand new and are designed to respond rapidly to any weather condition in the wild and remote places they visit.

Their expansive observation decks and hydraulic viewing platforms bring you even closer to the natural environment. The ships serve as spacious and comfortable base camps for adventures. Plus, the small, ice-strengthened ships, which accommodate a maximum of 132 passengers per voyage, allow them to land in more locations than larger vessels can. Aurora Expeditions is redefining expedition cruising for the future.

Antarctica offers rich and diverse wildlife, making it one of the most pristine and wild places to visit, with a vast range of penguins, sea birds, seals and whales. The Arctic has one of the richest and most diverse wildlife habitats, ranging from the elusive polar bears to musk oxen, arctic foxes, reindeer, arctic hare and whale’s species. In Patagonia explore some of the most iconic national parks and lookout for Andean condors soaring overhead, armadillos, guanacos, and pumas.

After making enriching discoveries off- ship, return to relax or explore and learn more on board. View the incredible landscapes and wildlife through floor-to-ceiling windows that face every direction. Find a spot on the vast outside decks, or the dedicated observation areas, which include the unique viewing platforms that extend out either side of the ship, so you can get close to the real show outside.

Join the early risers for pastries, coffee and tea in the lecture theatre. Or perhaps attend an enriching presentation, lecture or talk by the experienced Expedition Team or special guests on a variety of topics. Dine and swap stories with new friends in the informal restaurant, or have a coffee or drink at the bar. Enjoy welcome drinks with the captain and Expedition Team.
