Ecuador 7 canva

Colourful culture, exotic wildlife and magnificent landscapes

This little country on South America’s west coast packs a punch. Ecuador has something to offer all kinds of traveller, from wildlife lovers to landscape photographers and history buffs alike. The capital, Quito, is filled with Spanish colonial charm, with cobblestone streets, ornate churches and beautifully-decorated Baroque-style monasteries. Out of the urban centres, rich landscapes filled with some of the world’s most unique wildlife await, from rainforest sanctuaries, volcanoes, golden beaches in the north-west, and the spectacular peaks of the Andes.

Off the coast of Ecuador lie the Galápagos Islands, a place on many a globe-trotter’s bucket list. Here, you can witness some incredible flora and fauna you won’t find anywhere else on the planet, including giant tortoises, flamingoes, iguanas and penguins.

Our expert travel consultants are able to help you organise a trip to Ecuador and can even help you create a unique itinerary that incorporates neighbouring countries such as Colombia and Peru if you want to explore more of South America.

Tips and advice from our travel advisors

Whether you are kayaking, snorkelling, swimming or diving, you will want to pack your waterproof camera for those amazing up close wildlife encounters in the Galapagos. The playful seal pups were my favourite!
