Itinerary

Day 1: Santiago

Upon arrival into Santiago, you will be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy a walking excursion.

Day 2: Santiago

Spend the day discovering Santiago. (B)

Day 3: Santiago - Valparaiso - Santiago

Enjoy a full day discovering two of Chile’s beachside cities, Valparaiso and Vina del Mar. Famous for its stacked hills and winding stairs, Valparaiso takes you back in time yet has a modern feel. As you climb the winding stone stairs or head up in one of the famous funiculars, you’ll be met with incredible views of the bay. There will be a short break at a local cafe to taste traditional “empanadas”. After lunch head up the coast to Vina del Mar. (B)

Day 4: Santiago - Calama - San Pedro de Atacama

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Calama. In the heart of the Atacama, Calama is the gateway to the geological wonders of the central desert. The town of San Pedro de Atacama sits in the driest desert in the world and is the main base for exploring the area. This afternoon visit Moon Valley. (B)

Day 5: San Pedro de Atacama

Today visit the Atacama Salar and the Altiplanic towns of Toconao and Socaire. Continue with a visit to the Altiplanic lagoons of Miscanti-Meniques. (B)(L)

Day 6: San Pedro de Atacama

Enjoy sightseeing at Geysers del Tatio, the geothermal field where plumes of steam at boiling point will cover the scenery during a gentle walk through the natural surroundings with breathtaking beauty. On the way back, visit the Altiplanic town of San Santiago de Machuca. In the afternoon, visit the archaeological sites of Quitor, Tulor and the complete Archaeological Museum Padre le Paige. (B)

Day 7: San Pedro de Atacama - Santiago

Return to Calama Airport for your flight back to Santiago. Spend the night at the airport hotel. (B)

Day 8: Santiago - Puerto Montt - Puerto Varas

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Montt. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel located in Puerto Varas. (B)

Day 9: Puerto Varas - Frutillar - Puerto Varas

This afternoon, visit Frutillar. This beautiful village recalls old Bavaria, from where the first settlers came from. Visit the Salzburg brewery, where you will learn the process of beermaking and taste the delicious local beer. (B)

Day 10: Lakes District

Today embark on a journey of natural beauty to Peulla. Board your catamaran to sail across the beautiful lake Todos Los Santos to reach the town of Peulla. Enjoy lunch before returning to Puerto Varas. (B)(L)

Day 11: Puerto Varas - Puerto Montt - Punta Arenas

This morning you will be transferred to Puerto Montt airport for your flight to Punta Arenas. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (B)

Day 12: Punta Arenas - Torres del Paine National Park

Travel by road to your hotel located in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park, your home for the next three nights. (B)(L)(D)

Day 13: Torres del Paine National Park

Spend your days in Torres del Paine National Park which boasts the world’s most stunning array of mountains, glaciers, lakes and forests and a wide variety of animal species. Choose from an array of excursions includng trekking, horseback riding and guided vehicle excursions. (B)(L)(D)

Day 14: Torres del Paine National Park

Visit Torres del Paine National Park which boasts the world’s most stunning array of mountains, glaciers, lakes and forests and is home to a wide variety of animal species including guanaco (a relative of the llama), condors and flamingos. As a centrepiece, the hallmark granite horns and towers thrust abruptly skywards from the flat pampa, while lakes of shimmering blues provide the perfect contrast.

Day 15: Torres del Paine National Park - Punta Arenas

Transfer to the airport where your journey ends. (B)
